Cryo-BI-Pulse

Our Cryo-BI-Pulse system has been developed with Metis Instruments & Equipment NV (Leuven, Belgium) and the International Laboratory of High Magnetic Fields and Low Temperatures (Wroclaw, Poland) for rapid, high magnetic field characterisation of superconducting samples. Critical current can be measured as a function of magnetic field and temperature using pulsed magnetic fields up to 32 T and pulsed currents up to 4.2 kA.

Measurements on niobium-titanium multifilamentary conductors have been performed and reported at EUCAS '05 (abstract, poster). Measurements on a variety of Nb3Sn, Nb3Al, MgB2 and HTS samples are currently in progress.
