Location

In May 2005 the group moved to its present location in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, adopting its current name. Previously, our main laboratory (the Process Lab) had been located in the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Superconductivity.

The new laboratories are in the main building of the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy – the processing and measurements laboratory is in room 412, and the modelling and microscopy laboratory is in room 401. This new location enhances our collaborations with other research groups in the department, whilst retaining our existing links with other departments in Cambridge and elsewhere in the world. In addition to our existing facilities, new high magnetic field characterisation and ink jet printing systems have been developed in the new location, and our materials modelling activities have been enhanced by new computing resources.

Finding the Department
