The functional inorganic and hybrid material group of Prof. Anthony K. Cheetham has broad interests in materials chemisty. Over the last 30 years we have focused on nanoporous and open framework materials, novel phosphors for solid state lighting, magnetic materials, neutron and X-ray characterization, and structural modeling. Most recently, open hybrid framework structures for hydrogen storage and the optical properties of dense structures have been a major focus.
