Teaching Professor
As Director of Undergraduate Teaching, my responsibilities involve working with our Teaching Associate and the rest of the Teaching Committee to coordinate, develop and run our undergraduate course.
I give lecture courses on a range of aspects of Materials Science, including Non-Metallic Materials, Electronic Properties of Materials, and Biomaterials.
Before taking on my current role, I spent several years carrying out doctoral and post-doctoral research within the Cambridge Centre for Medical Materials. My work focussed on polymeric spinal disc replacements, collagen fibres for ligament and tendon regeneration, and bone regeneration scaffolds.
I am also a fellow at St Catharine’s College, where I am the Director of Studies for Materials Science.
