My research focuses on photonic and light‑responsive materials that maximise light harvesting for solar‑driven chemical and energy‑conversion processes. I am particularly interested in luminescent and waveguiding structures that control absorption, transport and spectral conversion of light, enabling the efficient delivery of photons that drive targeted solar processes.
A central theme of my current work is the development of luminescent solar microreactors, which integrate tailored luminescent materials with microfluidic architectures to reshape the solar spectrum. By converting incident light into wavelengths that are more effectively used by photocatalytic reactions, these systems provide new opportunities for enhancing solar‑to‑chemical conversion through precise optical control.
More broadly, I am driven by the use of light to enable sustainable technologies that support the net‑zero transition, exploring how photonic materials can be engineered to deliver cleaner, more efficient and more sustainable technological solutions.
