Goldsmiths' Lecture Room 1

Prof. Pablo Levy from the Argentinian National University of San Martin-National Atomic Commission.

In this talk I will show that sets of electrical pulses applied through metal electrodes to manganite based memristors (memory + resistor devices), emulate the biological synapse between neurons. This fact prompts for the bio - inspired use of these devices in simple circuits to produce learning processes. Some of our past work on manganitesand TiO based memristors will be discussed, including the delivery of samples to Low Earth Orbits to test them as non - volatile memory devices.

All Department members welcome.
