Teaching Associate

As a Teaching Associate I work alongside the Director of Undergraduate Teaching and other academic staff to coordinate, develop, and deliver the Materials Science undergraduate course. Currently I deliver lecture courses on Microstructure and Electronic Properties of Materials.

Prior to my current role, I worked as a Lecturer (Teaching) in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield. Before this, I undertook doctoral and postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford. My research was focused on the synthesis and characterisation of two-dimensional nanocrystals using scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM), as well as surface science of solid-state lithium batteries. During this time, I was awarded a David Cockayne Junior Research Fellowship and was a recipient of the Best Departmental Lecturer Trophy. Before starting my academic career, I worked as a Graduate Engineer at Morgan Advanced Materials PLC.
