Hamburg is a Free City, therefore one of the 16 federal states of Germany. It is the second largest city in Germany with about 3.5 million people in the metropolitan area. Hamburg is the cultural and commercial centre of Northern Germany.  Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) is one of the leading technical universities in Germany. Founded in 1978, in an unusually short time by university standards, a beautiful campus has developed and TUHH has turned into a popular and internationally recognised centre for research and teaching. With more than 100 professors, an average of about 5,000 students and 1,150 members of staff TUHH offers a uniquely high ratio of staff to students.

 

Host 1

Period of placements: 8 weeks July and August (full calendar months preferred due to accommodation restrictions)

Accommodation arrangements: ~700 Euro (~£610) for period of stay

Financial support from hosts: ~600 Euro (~£525) for period of stay
