Congratulations to Georgina Burgoyne Morris and Beatrice Jones, PhD students in the Photoactive Materials group, who have been awarded funding from the Royal Society of Chemistry Outreach Fund for their project “EnLighten: A reusable toolkit for outreach demonstrations”.

EnLighten will create an interactive demonstration toolkit that explores the properties of light, its interaction with matter, and how we can manipulate it for cutting-­edge applications that are being investigated within the Photoactive Materials group. The toolkit will first be used at the Cambridge Festival (March 2024) but is designed to be evaluated, improved and re­used for future outreach events such as school visits. Georgie, Bea and Rachel thank the rest of the Photoactive Materials group for their contribution to the project.
