Dr Robert Hoye is one of five young engineers who have had an outstanding impact in their respective fields early in their careers and received this prestigious award at the Royal Academy of Engineering Awards Dinner on Wednesday 27 June.

The RAEng Engineers Trust Young Engineer of the Year is awarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, with support from the Worshipful Company of Engineers, and recognises outstanding early career engineers with prizes of £3,000 each.

Dr Robert Hoye is a Junior Research Fellow, working on the development of new materials for use in the production of clean energy. He has demonstrated outstanding creativity in finding unique ways to address the pressing challenge of clean energy, developing the materials and tools needed to create commercially viable and efficient devices.
