Location: The Platinum Building at St John's Innovation Park, Cowley Rd, Milton, Cambridge, CB4 0WS

Number of Placements: 3

Period of Placement: Expected to be 10 weeks starting 1st July 2024, however, there is some flexibility to start later in the month or reduce the length to 8 weeks. This can be discussed with the host, if selected for one of these opportunities.

Accommodation Arrangements: Marshall Futureworx does not arrange accommodation. Students are usually able to arrange their own accommodation (e.g., in College) and commute from central Cambridge using either public transport or their own bike.

What are Marshall Futureworx looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Technical Intern with a solid knowledge of Materials Science to join our dynamic engineering team. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in and contribute to real-world engineering projects.

  1. Liquid Hydrogen Refuelling Manifold Design
  2. Hydrogen Embrittlement and Certification Support 
  3. Cryogenic Hydrogen Gas Venting and Lightning Protection 

Additional requirements:

  • Comfortable with a hybrid working environment
  • Able to travel for business both in the UK and abroad if required
  • Able to hold UK Security Clearance
  • Full UK driving license highly desirable
