Our Vision: “To protect lives and preserve the environment”

ION Science has over 30 years of industry experience designing, manufacturing, and supplying photoionisation detection (PID) gas sensors, gas detection instruments, and leak detectors across a wide range of industries and applications.

Manufactured at our UK headquarters, our sensor technology and gas detection instruments are designed and developed by a talented in-house team and supplied worldwide via a global network of distributors.

Experts in PID technology, we manufacture and supply more PID sensors than any other gas detection manufacturer in the world. Our sensor is used by major, global gas detection manufacturers and found within most PID gas detection instruments available today for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

In 2022, ION Science was delighted to be awarded a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the category of Innovation, for its pioneering MiniPID sensors.

We provide customers with pioneering gas sensing technology and reliable monitoring capabilities even in the harshest of environments.
