The Department welcomes a new leadership team from 1st October 2018.  Professor Paul Midgley is stepping into the Head of Department role and will be ably supported by Professor Serena Best CBE and Professor James Elliott as Deputy Heads with responsibilities for Research and Teaching, respectively.  We hope that Professor Mark Blamire has enjoyed his term as Head of Department and that he will have a productive sabbatical year, and similarly wish the same for Professor Zoe Barber, who is stepping down as Deputy Head for Teaching and is also taking sabbatical leave.
