We are thrilled to learn that Dr Jess Gwynne, our Director of Undergraduate Teaching, has been promoted to a Teaching Professorship (Grade 11) in the first ever round of the new Academic Career Pathways exercise for Teaching and Scholarship.  This long awaited Academic Career Pathway has also enabled our Teaching Fellow, Dr Rob Thompson, to be be promoted to Associate Teaching Professor (Grade 9) - we congratulate him on that achievement.

Other Department academics have been successful in the Academic Career Pathway for Research and Teaching and will receive promotions as follows:   Professor Sohini Kar-Narayan (Professor, Grade 12), Dr Thomas Bennett (Professor, Grade 11), Dr Bartomeu Monserrat (Professor, Grade 11), Dr Xavier Moya (Professor, Grade 11), and Dr Giuliana Di Martino (Associate Professor).

The promotions take effect from 1st October 2023.  Well done everyone!
